About
David E. Plunkett’s story is one rooted in hard work, family, and service. Raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, by his parents Edward, a mechanic, and Janice, a nurse, David learned early the value of perseverance and community. He excelled in athletics—playing football and hockey, and even boxing in the Silver Mittens and Golden Gloves. Later, he gave back to youth as a baseball coach and longtime Boy Scouts scoutmaster, guiding several young men to achieve Eagle Scout rank. David went on to earn his degrees at North Shore Community College, Merrimack College, and Suffolk University, building a strong foundation that led to a distinguished career in accounting and finance. Today, through Miasserian & Plunkett LLC and MPS Tax Services Inc., he continues to help clients across Massachusetts navigate complex financial matters with confidence. Outside of work, David finds joy on his farm, where he and his family care for horses, donkeys, sheep, dogs, and a cat. An avid horse rider, he embraces the balance of professional responsibility and the peace of rural life. His philanthropic efforts include volunteering with the Salvation Army and participating in community fundraisers like “Freezin’ for a Reason.” At the heart of his life’s work is family. David’s devotion to his late wife, his two sons, and now his new wife and stepchildren reflects a deep commitment to love, resilience, and growth. His life blends professional excellence with community engagement and personal integrity—qualities that make him a trusted advisor and respected neighbor.
